Chemically classified as a polycyclic musk-adjacent woody material under the indanone family, it was developed to capture the warm, soft, almost fabric-like sensation of cashmere — a quality that was previously impossible to achieve with natural materials alone. Usage & Guidelines

Fine Fragrance 

Cashmeran is a cornerstone ingredient in fine fragrance development, particularly in woody musk, amber, and oriental compositions. It provides body, radiance, and longevity at usage levels of 2% to 20% in the concentrate. Its skin-like warmth makes it ideal for modern unisex and niche fragrance styles.

Attar and Oriental Blending 

In attar and Middle Eastern style perfumery, Cashmeran functions as a powerful fixative and warmth generator. It bridges oud, rose, and sandalwood accord effortlessly, giving oriental compositions a smooth and contemporary edge. Usage at 1% to 5% in attar blends delivers a noticeable lift in depth and diffusion.

Functional Fragrance

Cashmeran performs very well in rinse-off applications including shampoos, conditioners, body washes, and fabric softeners. Its substantivity ensures the scent remains detectable even after washing, making it a valued ingredient in personal care and home care fragrance systems.

Cosmetics 

In leave-on cosmetics such as body lotions, creams, and hair serums, Cashmeran enhances fragrance longevity and adds a warm skin-scent quality. Usage at 0.5% to 2% is sufficient to achieve perceptible warmth and fixation without overpowering the formulation's primary fragrance.

Home Fragrance

Cashmeran works well in reed diffusers, wax melts, and scented candles, contributing a warm woody base to ambient fragrance compositions. In candles it performs reliably without significant discoloration. Reed diffusers benefit from its high diffusivity and extended scent throw at 5% to 15% in the diffuser blend.
